The Ontario Legal Aid
Program is available to person’s of limited means for certain types of legal
services. Locally, Legal Aid has an office located at 50 Queen Street North,
8th floor, Kitchener, Ontario. The telephone number is (519)
743-4306. Legal Aid offers a Wednesday night advice clinic. For more
information regarding Legal Aid, please visit

Legal Aid will issue certificates
for certain types of matters. These certificates permit the client to
obtain Counsel of choice as long as the lawyer is on the Legal Aid panel.
Jane is pleased to accept Legal Aid certificates, depending on her
availability. Jane is on the Family Law and Child and Family Services
panels. Jane is not on any other panels as she limits her practice to
the area of family law. |

Local Court houses offer
Family Law Information Centers (FLIC). Duty Counsels supplied by Legal Aid
assist clients in completing forms. The Cambridge Courthouse offers these
clinics on Fridays and the Kitchener courthouse offers these services on
Wednesdays and Fridays. For more information on FLIC, please contact your
local courthouse. Please note that Financial Eligibility tests may be
performed at FLIC at the beginning of the interview. |
